Our research programmes cover the topics of Defence & Security, Democracy & Governance, Energy & Climate, Europe, Identities, and Migration. We are always interested in hearing from people with knowledge of additional areas of study who would like to set up a new research group.
These research programmes are responsible for producing and publishing our content, holding events, and organising social meet ups.
We publish work in the following formats:
Blogs
Shorter opinion pieces, in a more journalistic tone, that convey a clear idea and often respond to current affairs.
Briefings
Factual pieces, outlining what you need to know on the key issues, events, and debates going on in international affairs.
Policy papers
Longer, more analytical research pieces which make concrete policy proposals for UK policy makers.
